Account Deletion & Data Removal

To delete your Tera account and request removal of your data, follow these steps:

1. Send an email to contact@teratasks.com
2. In the subject line, write: "Account Deletion Request"
3. In the email body, include:
   • Your full name
   • Your account email address
   • A brief statement: "I request deletion of my account and associated data."
4. Send the email from the account email address if possible (for verification)

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and process the deletion within 30 days.

When you request account deletion, the following data is removed:

• Your account profile (name, email, preferences)
• All personal content: goals, tasks, habits, notes
• Workspace memberships and team data you created
• AI Coach interaction history
• Account settings and configurations
• Login and authentication records (after a reasonable period)

The following data may be retained for legal, compliance, fraud prevention, or tax purposes:

• Anonymized usage logs and analytics (no personal identifiers)
• Payment and billing records (required by tax law and Stripe)
• Fraud prevention and security records
• Data required by law enforcement or court order
• Data necessary to comply with financial regulations

Stripe retains payment records according to their own data retention policies and legal requirements.

If you are part of a workspace, your deletion request will:

• Remove your personal account and profile
• Remove your workspace memberships
• Transfer or remove tasks assigned to you (workspace admins will be notified)

Workspace data created by other members will not be deleted.

Important: Deleting your account will:

• Cancel any active subscriptions immediately
• End billing for your paid plan
• Forfeit any remaining credits or trial periods

No refund will be issued for the deletion of an account (see our Refund Policy for refund requests).

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted, your data is removed from our active systems. We recommend exporting or backing up any important data before requesting deletion.

Before deleting your account, you may request a copy of your data in a structured format. Email contact@teratasks.com with the subject "Data Export Request" and include your account email.

We will provide your data within 30 days in a common format (JSON or CSV).
